29% fall in the number of Lone Parents on JSA.

Today’s figures show a 41,000 drop in the number of lone parents on JSA between August 2013 and 2014 – a fall of 29%.

The biggest fall was for lone parents with children aged over 12 – 33%; the smallest for those with children between 5 and 6 – 25%.

Some figures remain the same – there are still more Lone Parents on JSA in London than any other region and  90% of Lone Parents on JSA are still women.
